Made in Public is a series of free community handwork gatherings hosted by the West Kootenay Fibreshed at Lakeside Park in Nelson, BC.
This is 2/3, happening the last Wednesday of every month from April-June.
These sessions invite participants to bring their handwork into a shared, outdoor space and spend time making alongside others. Grounded in the social nature of textile traditions, the series offers a simple and accessible way to connect and/or reconnect with hand-based practices in community.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own projects, including knitting, mending, stitching, spinning, or other forms of textile-based work. The format is informal and peer-supported, with Fibreshed members present to help hold the space.
No instruction or registration is required.
